An expert in rapid triage, assessment and treatment of a wide range of acute medical conditions, Marie Jean-Pierre is an integral part of the Emergency Department (ED) multidisciplinary team at Broward Health Medical Center. Jean-Pierre, has been with Broward Health Medical Center for 34 years, which is one of only two Level 1 Trauma Centers in Broward County. Born in Haiti and tri-lingual in English, French and Creole, she has an innate ability to manage patient high-stress situations with precision and care.
She is motivated every day by her patients as they experience relief from a traumatic and painful experience. “It makes my day seeing their smile at the end of it all,” she said.
Jean-Pierre received an Associate of Science in Nursing from Palm Beach Community College, now Palm Beach State College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University.
