Lizette Otero is chief nursing executive at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where she leads nursing strategy, patient experience, workforce engagement, safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Under her leadership, the hospital earned Healthgrades’ America’s 50 Best Hospitals (2026) designation, achieved top-ranked trauma outcomes, nationally benchmarked patient experience results, reduced healthcare-associated infections, strengthened workforce engagement and received Pathways to Excellence designation.

Otero began her career at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Milwaukee and later advanced through leadership roles at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital, from charge nurse to director. She also served as associate chief nursing officer at HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital and chief nursing officer at Oviedo Medical Center.

She earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alverno College. Otero is known for building high-performing, patient-centered cultures and developing future nursing leaders.
