Jordan White, RN, was inspired to pursue a career in the nursing profession by her grandmother, who was also a registered nurse. Nursing provides White with a deep sense of purpose and pride. She began her career on the Intensive Rehab Unit, where she built a strong clinical foundation, and later transferred to the Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit. In her current role, White provides expert care to patients recovering from open-heart surgery, consistently demonstrating attentiveness, empathy and professionalism. Her patients frequently commend her calm presence and genuine concern for their well-being. This winter, White completed the first year of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Practice Transition Accreditation Program® (PTAP), an accredited nurse residency program. As part of the completion requirements, she worked on an evidence-based practice project which identified a gap in practice and implemented a sizing tool to assist nurses in choosing a patient specific elimination device. This will lead to reduced pressure injuries and comfort to patients.
