Loren Walker, R.N., has worked for Broward Health for 26 years. She currently provides direct nursing care in the infusion room at Broward Health North’s cancer center, which includes maintaining IV central lines and administering infusion therapy for oncology and hematology patients. She was the first oncology nurse to achieve the hospital’s clinical ladder, inspiring others to do the same.
“My job is truly a dream job; I literally love coming to work every day,” said Walker. “I work with amazing nurses who provide the best possible patient care and always help and support each other. Seeing what we do for patients is amazing. It’s an honor to get to know our patients and their families and to provide support as they go through treatment.”
