Norman Parks is a dedicated volunteer at Broward Health Coral Springs, marking his second year in his role as president of the Broward Health Coral Springs Auxiliary and boasting a decade of volunteer experience overall. Since retiring in 1998 from a 36-year career at Motorola, where he served as the director for international operations, Parks has immersed himself in giving back to the community.

“My journey into volunteering began after being impressed by the exceptional care my wife Bonnie received, following her stroke in 2015,” Parks said. “This experience motivated me to apply to volunteer at the hospital immediately.”

Parks’ passion for service extends beyond healthcare; he has served on the board of directors for volunteers and was elected president, reflecting his leadership skills. At 85, he remains active and always tries to find ways to help others. A native Floridian and a Navy veteran, Parks loves flying alongside his pilot wife. He believes true volunteering requires selflessness and finds joy in helping others every day.
