Karen grew up in the Greater Boston area where she was taught the importance of helping others in need. After moving to Florida, she enjoyed feeding the homeless, volunteering for The Department of Children and Families in West Palm Beach, teaching Sunday School Classes to the inner-city children and assisting in music therapy for children and adults on the Autism Spectrum.

Karen began volunteering at Jupiter Medical Center in October of 2022, after her husband went through heart surgery at Jupiter Medical Center. When Karen arrived at the hospital to visit her husband, she was greeted by the kindest and most helpful volunteer greeters. Once her husband was fully healed, she knew it was time to give back to Jupiter Medical Center as a volunteer.

Karen volunteers in the Surgical Lounge; she is always willing to help out additional days as needed. She also serves on the Hospitality Committee and the Nominating Committee. She enjoys helping ease the stress of the patients and family members by assisting them in any way possible. Karen always says she is more blessed by helping the patients and family members.
