Sheridan Healthcare recently expanded its business by acquiring Florida United Radiology, L.C. (“FUR”). By adding in-house radiology and teleradiology to its comprehensive list of hospital-based services, Sheridan Healthcare becomes one of the first physician organizations to offer anesthesiology, neonatology, emergency and radiology programs nationwide.
Established in 1998, FUR has been a leading provider of remote reading in South Florida for the past 7 years. FUR has developed a sophisticated internal network allowing teleconferencing of cases among facilities, as well as internal after-hour services.
