On Monday, March 28 2022 at 6pm the South ( Memorial Healthcare System) and North Broward ( Broward Health) Hospital Districts met together Monday night for the first time in their history. They voted independently to direct their CEOs to put together workgroups that will bring ideas forward for partnerships and collaboration. ( Click Here for Video).
The goal of this historic meeting was to have the two public health systems begin working together to improve health care for every resident in Broward County. Both system have started the process by having conversations on a partnership for a new hospital in Sunrise, and Broward Health has hired Memorial Healthcare System to consult on information technology and electronic health records.
