Ten South Florida children, teens and young adults received free corrective facial and other surgeries during Baptist Children’s Hospital’s Day of Smiles on June 15. Doctors, nurses, technologists, nurse anesthetists and staff members volunteered their time to help correct cleft lips and palates, perform ear reconstruction and scar revisions. This is the 12th year the hospital has donated its facilities and performed free surgeries for children whose families couldn’t afford the operations.
