Ophthalmologist Eugene M. Eisner, M.D., has been re-elected president of the more than 1,400 physicians on the Baptist Hospital medical staff. He served as president from 2006-2007, president-elect from 2004-2005, vice president from 2002-2003, and chief of ophthalmology from 1992-2001. He has been on the staff at Baptist Hospital since 1974.
Dr. Eisner is Board-certified in ophthalmology. He is also certified in laser vision correction procedures for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. He is a voluntary faculty member at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and a member of the Dade County Medical Association, the Miami Ophthalmological Society and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Eisner received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his residency program in ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.
