Cycling, Running, or Walking Can be Completed Any Time in
February  to Support Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

January 25, 2021 – COVID-19 hasn’t minimized the need for philanthropic fundraising at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. If anything, the pandemic has increased the need for support from the community.

That’s why the ANF Group Tour de Broward, an annual fundraiser that helps underwrite programs, services, and facilities for kids and families at the children’s hospital, will still take place this year, albeit in a different way than the eleven tours that preceded it.

To ensure everyone’s safety while the coronavirus is still a daily threat in communities across the globe, Tour de Broward participants will complete a 50 or 100K bicycle ride, a 5K run, or 3K walk on their own and submit results online to receive an event medal and t-shirt. The events can be completed any time between February 1-28, 2021.

Individuals are encouraged to celebrate their achievement and support for the cause with others by posting on their own Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. Tag @tourdebroward, #TDB2021.

The cost to participate is $30, with registration and the submission of results taking place at  www.tourdebroward.com.

The 2020 Tour de Broward raised more than $700,000 to enhance pediatric healthcare at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a facility that cared for kids needing more than 60,000 hospital outpatient visits, 7,000 pediatric surgeries, and 9,500 admissions and observation stays last year. In its history, the fundraiser has raised in excess of $5.1 million.
