University Hospital and Medical Center Announces New CNO

The administration at University Hospital and Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of James R. Perod to Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to this, Perod worked more than six years at HCA sister facility Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida, where he most recently served as Director, Cardiovascular Nursing. Previous positions include Director of Emergency Services and, at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute, St. Petersburg, Director of Heart Institute and Critical Care Services.

Perod is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Healthcare Services at the University of Phoenix and holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration from Suffield University. His Associate Degree in Nursing is from Youngstown State University, Ohio, and he received a Certificate in Legal Nurse Consulting from Kaplan College.
