Westside Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Charles P. Lago, Sr., M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.S.C.R.S, has been appointed the new Chief of Staff thru December of 2007.
Dr. Lago, a Colon and Rectal Surgeon, has practiced medicine at Westside Regional Medical Center since 1995. He received his Bachelor of Science, Biology from Syracuse University and his M.D. degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Before coming to Westside, Dr. Lago completed his Surgical Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery with the Orlando Regional Healthcare System.
Among the various organizations that Dr. Lago is part of, he sits on the Board of Directors for the Broward County Medical Association as a district representative and is president of the Colon and Rectal Clinic of Ft. Lauderdale. He has also received numerous awards including a second place manuscript for the Annual American College of Surgeons.
