The spot where the pain is. Arthritis. Back or neck. Hands or chronic pain that just won’t go away. The staff at RehabXperience, located in Sunrise, FL addresses that pain – comprehensively, caringly, and compassionately.

They are committed to providing patients at their facility with the best possible physical rehabilitation experience with exceptional clinical care, and are dedicated to helping their patients restore function and improve the quality of their lives.

The new physical rehabilitation center, located at the corner of N. Pine Island Road and W. Oakland Park Boulevard, also offers a warm, relaxing environment – complete with music, soft lighting, soothing colors and décor.

After nearly 20 years in as a physical therapist, Chief Clinical Officer Colette Amit, MSHSA, PT, wanted to offer patients more then education, excises, and modalities: “I had the desire to treat patients in a warm, welcoming and uplifting environment,” she says, and I thought that patients, physicians and their office staff should enjoy excellent service. Better quality of care in a comfortable and conducive surrounding will lead to a better outcome.”

This approach to patient care can be summed up in three words: setting – upscale, quiet, where patients can be “transported” from their daily pain; service – where the staff goes above and beyond to exceed the expectations of both patients and physicians; and clinical outcome – where patients regain functionality and achieve better quality of life quickly

Colette holds a Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree from Tel Aviv University and a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University in Miami. Colette served as an Associate Professor of PT at Miami-Dade College and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Toward that goal, she and her husband Ofer – an engineer with a Master’s degree in management who serves as Managing Member and CEO and handles the non-clinical aspects of the company – provide not only a “homey” atmosphere, treatment plans with an emphasis on the personal attention and progress monitoring – but also the latest techniques and technology. Equipment like Nu Step, four channel electrical stimulation & ultrasound combination unit and a programmable traction system among others provides the capability and flexibility necessary for effective treatment.

All this … along with comforting music, soft lighting and aromatherapy that put the patients in a positive, healing frame of mind. ” We make every effort to make the experience of recovering from a surgery or trauma or coping with pain as positive, encouraging and rewarding as possible,” he says.

Most of the patients at RehaXperience are 55 or older, but they also treat work-related injuries, trauma (from accidents, for example), and anyone with chronic pain.

“Lower back pain is a common and chronic complaint,” Colette says.

Some of the other maladies treated at the center include arthritis, balance impairment, back & neck pain, neurological conditions, joint disorders & replacement, hand injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, amputation, and soft tissue disorders.

RehabXperince currently accepts Medicare and many commercial insurers (including workman’s comp), and Ofer is negotiating other insurance contracts as the center expands.

The Amit’s will hold a Grand Opening on October 20 from 4:30 – 7 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and special gifts.
