Professor Emeritus Georgie C. Labadie from the University of Miami is among the 41 distinguished fellows, selected from across the nation, for induction into National League for Nursings (NLN) Academy of Nursing Education inaugural class.
Professor Georgie C. Labadie joined the faculty of UMs School of Nursing in 1981. Since that time, she has held several positions including Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, Associate Dean of the School of Nursing, and Interim Director for the Institute for the Study of Culture and Nursing. Since becoming an emeritus professor in 2004 Professor Labadie, she has remained actively engaged with UM through a project that mentors young nursing faculty.
