Baptist Health South Florida has named Janá Sigars-Malina and Sheldon T. Anderson to the Board of Trustees.Sigars-Malina is Of Counsel to Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A. In addition to her role on the Baptist Health Board, Sigars-Malina is also a trustee of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, a member of the boards of the Children’s Bereavement Center and the Miami Theater Center and a member of the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council. She has served as president of Miami City Ballet, chair of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar, and vice-chair and Board member of the Miami-Dade Jay Malina International Trade Consortium.
Anderson is chairman of the Florida Advisory Board of Northern Trust. He retired last year as chairman and CEO of the Southeast Region of Northern Trust. In addition to his role on the Baptist Health Board, Anderson’s civic activity includes serving as a board member of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, Miami Dade College Foundation and New World Symphony. He is vice chair of the board of trustees of the Museum of Contemporary Art, chair-elect of the Beacon Council and president of the Miami Music Association, the support organization for Cleveland Orchestra Miami.
