Boca Raton Regional Hospital (BRRH) Urgent Care Centers have received Certified Urgent Care (CUC) Category 1 designation by the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA). The designation, which is the UCAOA’s highest level of distinction, only includes urgent care centers that meet both certification criteria for scope of services and accreditation standards of quality and safety.

The CUC Category 1 designation signifies BRRH’s Urgent Care Centers have met or exceeded strict guidelines set by the UCAOA in patient care processes, facility management, scope of care, record management, quality, technology and human resources.

“We are proud to receive this designation as it objectively validates the high-quality of care we provide to our patients,” said Katie Acquino, DO, Medical Director of BRRH Urgent Care.

In addition to the basic services offered at BRRH’s Urgent Care Centers, they also serve as an immediate gateway to tertiary care at BRRH should the patient’s condition require hospital-based services. The Hospital is recognized in such clinical specialties as Oncology, Cardiovascular Disease and Surgery, Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Orthopedics and the Neurosciences. “Our relationship with Boca Regional offers a distinct advantage to our patients,” continued Dr. Acquino. “We can arrange for very efficient follow-up care with our specialists.”

Consumers recognize that urgent care centers are unique facilities that play an important role in the health care system. However, there is a wide variation in the operating model of America’s over 9,000 centers, making it difficult for consumers to identify which centers are best positioned to meet their urgent care needs. The UCAOA has established the CUC designation to identify urgent care facilities whose operating model is consistent with standard expectations for urgent care.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital operates two urgent care centers – located at 3313 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Suite 100 in Deerfield Beach and 10 E. Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton. Both centers are open from 8:00am – 8:00pm, Monday – Friday and 9:00am – 3:00pm, Saturday and Sunday.
