World Renowned Cardiologist, Professor, Author, Editor and Teacher focuses on humanism & “hands-on” patient-centered care

Dr. Michael A. Chizner has made it his life’s work to advance the discipline of cardiology, medical education, clinical research and state-of-the-art patient care.  After his longtime role as Founder and Chief Medical Director of The Heart Center of Excellence and Founding Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program at Broward Health, Dr. Chizner has decided to reaffirm his dedication and commitment to the medical community by opening a private practice in East Fort Lauderdale which is now fully operational as of September 4, 2018.

With his main focus on quality patient care, Dr. Chizner has dedicated himself and his time to get “back to the basics” and the lost art of clinical cardiology.  “We have to move away from being so dependent on technology and find our way back to the patient,” said Dr. Chizner.  “The intelligent use of one’s senses and a stethoscope enables the well-trained clinician to make a rapid and accurate diagnosis, often without recourse to more costly, time-consuming and potentially risky laboratory tests. Hands-before-scans.”
