Boca Raton Community Hospital was built by the community for the community. More than 40 years later, it continues to maintain its high quality, compassionate medical care and commitment to serving the community; largely due to the generosity and support of area residents.

The BRCH Foundation, headed by Chairman Warren S. Orlando, is the fundraising arm of the hospital, working with families, businesses and others to help them determine how they can support programs and assist the hospital maintain its high level of quality care:

  • The Foundation recently announced a $75 million gift to help build the nation’s first new academic medical center in more than three decades. The Charles E. Schmidt Medical Center, designed to be one of the safest hospitals in America, will be affiliated with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Florida Atlantic University.
  • The Christine E. Lynn Heart Institute offers diagnostic and interventional cardiac services, including “off-pump” open heart surgery, intensive care, minimally invasive surgery, catheterization and post-surgical rehabilitation.
  • The Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute is one of the top five cancer centers in Florida for patient volume. The new 98,000 square foot Harvey and Phyllis Sandler Pavilion of the Eugene M. & Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, opening in 2008, will utilize a multi-modality model, streamlining diagnosis and treatment.
  • The Minimally Invasive Surgery Center offers advanced techniques performed by some of the nation’s most experienced surgeons.
  • The Community Outreach Program is funded by the Foundation, providing many important services and initiatives to the community. Annual events help support hospital programs and initiatives, including:
  • Boca Raton Community Hospital Ball – a Boca Raton tradition for almost 50 years.
  • “Go Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon – Benefiting the Center for Breast Care at Boca Raton Community Hospital
