Delray Medical Center promotes Karen Knowles to the position of Surgical Orthopaedics/Surgical Stepdown Director.Knowles joined Delray Medical Center in 1999 in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. She moved over to the Surgical Services division as the pre-op holding RN until 2007 when she was promoted to Assistant Nurse Manager for Surgical Services. In 2010, Knowles was promoted to Clinical Manager of the Ambulatory Care Unit and Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
Prior to joining Delray Medical Center, Knowles worked in the ICU as a charge nurse at Gulf Coast Hospital and later transitioned to a Post Anesthesia Care Unit position at Southwest Regional Center. She is a cum laude graduate of St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
