Delray Medical Center is proud to show appreciation for its nursing staff by participating in the Daisy Foundation’s nursing award celebration.
For the third quarter of 2015, the Daisy Award went to Sharron Evans, a neuroscience nurse practitioner. Sharon was nominated by a co-worker who describes her as “a talented, compassionate and committed clinician with an uncanny sense of humor.” Evans continues to play an integral role in the success of the implementation of the new Deep Brain Stimulation procedure at Delray Medical Center, which gives patients with movement disorders the chance to change their lives for the better. The three-part surgery can help reduce the severity of the disease and potentially lessen side effects.
