Florida Medical Center is proud to recognize six members of the Comprehensive Stroke Center’s nursing team for earning prestigious certifications.

Arlene Barret, an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, recently passed the Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse exam. This significant achievement demonstrates her specialized experience and knowledge in caring for patients with neurological trauma and illness.

In addition to Barret’s accomplishment, several other nurses on the team received recognition as Stroke Certified Registered Nurses. This achievement, attained by Janice Montes, RN, neurosciences and stroke program manager; Justin Boise, RN, BSN, stroke program coordinator; Gessy Adrien, RN in the hospital’s neurointerventional lab; Ingrid Toney-John, RN, nurse manager in the Neurologic Intensive Care Unit; and Allette Bonaney, RN also in the Neurologic Intensive Care Unit, represents a unique body of knowledge necessary for the practice of stroke nursing.
