For Adriana Green, nursing began with a spark of inspiration during her teenage years. While working at an animal hospital, she overheard a colleague talk about nursing school. Intrigued, she began asking questions and soon knew she wanted a career in emergency care.
Today, Green has dedicated 24 years to emergency medicine, first as an EMT and now as a registered nurse. She is a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Broward Health Medical Center, where she manages critical and emergent situations with the goal of providing the best possible outcomes for patients and families.
“My happiness comes from seeing the sick and injured heal and go home feeling better than when they came in,” she said. “It makes my heart happy to see patients smile.”
Green earned her associate’s degree in nursing at Palm Beach State College and has spent her entire nursing career serving patients at Broward Health.
