August 1, 2022 – Lee Health’s HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center has earned the 2022 Silver AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

It’s one of only 6 facilities in the state and 46 in the country to earn this honor.

This recognition is possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, a comprehensive organizational assessment and recognition program for long-term care providers. Each application is reviewed and judged against a set of nationally recognized standards for achieving excellence.

All three of Lee Health’s skilled nursing locations now hold a recognition from the AHCA/NCAL. In addition to HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center, Gulf Coast Medical Center’s skilled nursing unit earned a Bronze Award earlier this year and Lee Memorial Hospital’s skilled nursing unit earned the Bronze Award in 2021.

“We are very proud to have earned this recognition, which speaks to the high-quality care our team members provide each and every day,” said Dr. Larry Antonucci, president and chief executive officer of Lee Health. “This award really reflects the kind of skilled nursing care and rehabilitation our patients can expect at HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center.”

Located adjacent to HealthPark Medical Center, HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center is a 112-bed skilled nursing facility that combines the latest rehabilitative treatments with compassionate, patient-centered care.

The National Quality Awards will be presented during AHCA/NCAL’s 73rd Convention & Expo in Nashville, Tenn., October 9-12, 2022.
