Nova Southeastern University recently graduated its first pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing classes, as well as its first RN to BSN group from its site in Naples/Ft. Myers. The nursing department, launched in January 2003, has grown from 42 students in its first RN to BSN class in Ft. Lauderdale, to more than 300 students within three years. Under the leadership of Dr. Diane Whitehead, the department has received accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The nursing department offers the pre-professional BSN and the RN to BSN in Ft. Lauderdale and Naples/Ft. Myers, as well as two fully online programs, an RN to BSN program and the MSN program.
