Carl McDonald, came to Broward Health in 2022 as Broward Health North’s Chief Human Resources Officer. In his role, he oversees the daily Human Resource (HR) operations for the hospital, that employs over 1,700 employees.
McDonald says he was motivated to pursue a career in HR by a desire to help people.
“I relish the chance to offer options and opportunities to employees looking for professional development,” said McDonald. “HR is a great profession for people who like problem-solving, advancing organizational culture, connection and mentoring others.”
McDonald is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, a Human Resource Standards Institute certified professional in HR and a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional.
He earned a Bachelor Degree in Communication Arts from Defiance College in Ohio and a Master Degree in Human Resources Management from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
