The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Pharmacy recently welcomed 85 students to its Bradenton, Florida campus for their first day of orientation.

The opening of Florida’s newest school of pharmacy is LECOM’s answer to a call for more health care professionals according to LECOM president John Ferretti, D.O. “There is a critical shortage of pharmacists and Florida is one of nine states leading the demand for new pharmacists, said Dr. Ferretti. “The development of the Florida campus was warranted and we are pleased to begin in Bradenton, Florida, the education of the professionals to answer that demand.”
