Mark Rader, FACHE, has been named CEO of Northwest Medical Center effective November 19.
 
Rader is currently the CEO of University Hospital, a HCA hospital in Broward County, and held this position for the last 1.5 years. He has over 20 years of healthcare experience and has been with HCA for the past 17 years. During this time, Rader has served as the Chief Executive Officer for Palmyra Medical Center in Georgia, Chief Executive Officer at Pulaski Community Hospital in Virginia, as well as various other leadership positions throughout HCA.
 
As CEO of Northwest Medical Center, Rader will lead a team of more than 600 physicians, 800 employees and more than 100 volunteers towards fulfilling its mission of providing excellence in healthcare for the community. He will oversee all aspects of administrative operations while supporting a solid foundation of core inpatient and outpatient services and spearheading the launch of new services and facility expansions such as the newly approved ER Expansion slated to break ground 2nd Quarter 2013.
 
Rader received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Radford University and Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Duke University.
 
He is replacing Dianne Goldenberg who recently announced her promotion to serve as CEO at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in North Miami Beach.
