Every year Mercy Hospital recognizes an individual whose dedicated service to others helps to increase awareness, and build the vision of Mercy, in honor of Archbishop Joseph P. Hurley. This year, Mercy honors Jerry A. Mashburn with the distinguished Archbishop Hurley Award.
Mashburn has been part of the Mercy family for the past 36 years. Serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he has raised the bar of integrity at Mercy Hospital in both the human resource and financial perspective. When the hospital was undergoing tough times, Mashburn helped navigate trough the storm with his leadership abilities.
