Susan Barrow, Nurse Manager of MedicalSurgical Oncology at Broward Health North Broward Medical Center, was recently awarded Nursing Spectrums “2009 Florida Excellence in Management Award.” This accomplishment puts her in the running for Nursing Spectrums “National Nurse of the Year Award,” which will be announced in September.
Susan has been a member of the North Broward Medical Center family for 12 years. For the past four years she has worked as the Nurse Manager of the Medical/Surgical/Oncology and Hospice Unit located in the SE wing of the third floor. Prior to entering the world of healthcare, Susan was a banker in New York City. She decided to enter the medical field after joining the US Navy.
