Dr. John Steinberg ’93, ’95 was recently honored with Barry University’s Distinguished Alumni Award for his achievements in the field of medicine.

Steinberg was among 10 Barry alumni representing Barry’s 10 academic schools who were recognized for significant achievement in their field and their continued dedication and commitment to the university’s mission. Honorees are those who exemplify the intent and purpose of Barry’s mission, including teachers, coaches, business leaders, researchers, nurses, athletes and others who have distinguished themselves through significant achievement.

An assistant professor at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Steinberg is the first doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM) to be invited onto the faculty at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
