A gynecologic oncologist at Holy Cross Medical Group, Diana P. English, M.D., is a Fellow of American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in OBGYN and Gynecologic Oncology and by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She specializes in all gynecologic cancers — ovarian, fallopian tube, uterine, cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancer. She also treats benign diseases including pre-cancers of the cervix, vagina and uterus; pelvic masses; uterine fibroids; complex endometriosis; abnormal uterine bleeding; cervical and vaginal dysplasia; genetic predisposition to cancer; and inherited cancer syndromes. Her focus areas include minimally invasive surgical approaches; heated-intraperitoneal chemotherapy; cytoreductive procedures, chemotherapy and targeted therapies for gynecologic cancer; and palliative medicine.
Previously, Dr. English was an associate professor at University of South Florida’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a joint appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine. She was the USF gynecologic oncology fellowship director and director of outpatient palliative care and survivorship program director at Tampa General Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with honors from the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica and did her OBGYN residency training at the University of Miami. She completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Yale School of Medicine and a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Stanford University Hospital and Clinics.
