Board certified in orthopedic surgery since 2012, John Hinson, M.D., of the Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute specializes in traumatic and degenerative conditions of the shoulder and elbow including arthroscopic surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability procedures, shoulder replacement including reverse total shoulder replacement and the care of throwing athletes and golfers.
Dr. Hinson graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia in 2004 and served as President of the Georgia Elbow and Shoulder Society from 2013-2015. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 2014.
A passionate advocate for using current surgical technology to advance healing and outcomes, Dr. Hinson has also presented at the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics 2015 Postgraduate Seminar, spoken to nascent physicians at local schools, and been published in international journals, written about managing complications of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty.
