Broward Health North recently presented an award for excellent trauma care to 16 members of Pompano Beach Fire Rescue at the Rotary Club of Pompano Beach. The Firefighter/Paramedics were nominated for this award after helping Broward Health North’s Trauma Medical Director, Igor Nichiporenko, M.D., pull a trapped pedestrian from beneath a train. Because of the outstanding team work between the paramedics and Dr. Nichiporenko the pedestrian was freed without any complications.
