Profiles in Cardiology – Good Samaritan Medical Center

 

 

Dr. Ida Mazza is a cardiologist on staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She specializes in the medical management of cardiovascular disease including atrial fibrillation-arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, management of heart failure, coronary artery disease, atherosclerotic risk factors, and management of complex conditions associated to the cardiac and vascular system. Prior to her joining the team at Good Sam, Dr. Mazza worked at Grand View-Leigh Valley Health Services, Buxmont Cardiology Division, and Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA for over 15 years. Dr. Mazza also provided cardiology care at the PA Heart and Vascular Group in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Mazza completed her fellowship in non-invasive cardiovascular medicine and an internal medical residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Her education included a prior internship as a general practitioner focused on obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine at the Venezuela Institute of Social Security Hospital in Caracas Venezuela. Dr. Mazza graduated medical school from Universidad Central De Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela. 

 

 

Dr. David Weisman considers himself an electrician of the heart. As a board certified and fellowship-trained cardiac electrophysiologist, and heart rhythm specialist, Dr. Weisman is the medical director of the electrophysiology laboratory at Good Samaritan Medical Center. He specializes in device implantation and comprehensive electrophysiology studies, including elucidating, diagnosing and treating cardiac heart rhythm disorders. He received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, New York, and his bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Dr. Weisman is certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
