Interventional cardiologist Dr. Marquand Patton specializes in complex structural heart, coronary and peripheral interventions via the catheter-based treatment of heart disease and cardiac ailments. Dr. Patton’s care focuses on transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve replacement and repair (TMVR), left atrial appendage occlusion, patent foramen ovale (PFO), atrial septal defect (ASD), ventricular septal defect (VSD) and paravalvular leak closure (PVL). In 2019, Dr. Patton brought the BASILICA procedure for high-risk coronary artery occlusion during TAVR to TFPS and performed the procedure at Palmetto General Hospital where he’s on-staff. Additionally, Dr. Patton focuses on mitral, aortic, pulmonic valvuloplasty, hemodynamic support and cardiogenic shock, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) interventions, peripheral vascular disease interventions and May-Thurner Syndrome. Erik Beyer, MD
 
Dr. Erik Beyer is a highly-trained, skilled and experienced cardiothoracic surgeon with Tenet Florida Physician Services (TFPS) and on-staff at Florida Medical Center, a campus of North Shore located in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Beyer specializes in minimally-invasive heart valve surgery, minimally-invasive atrial fibrillation (AFib) surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), aortic root reconstruction, aortic aneurysm treatment, aortic valve repair and mitral valve repair. In addition, Dr. Beyer performs thoracic surgery, heart failure surgery, coronary revascularization and has an additional, special interest in patient safety. Dr. Beyer has been a part of several innovations including the first use of the Navigator dissection tool for the MAZE procedure, a minimally invasive procedure used to treat atrial fibrillation. He was also a part of developing the Hybrid “Cooperative” MAZE procedure and was among the first to use the MAPS ablation pen.
