Jesse Gabuat has served as chief nursing officer of HCA Florida Aventura Hospital since October 2019. Previously, he was chief nursing officer at HCA Florida University Hospital, where he led care experience efforts and helped reduce registered nurse turnover. He also served as ACNO at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital and assistant VP of acute care nursing at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital.
Gabuat has more than 20 years of nursing leadership experience, including work in critical care and emergency care. He served as adjunct faculty at Florida Atlantic University from 2005 to 2010 and spent two years on its nursing leadership advisory board. He has authored articles published in the Journal of Nursing Administration, Journal of Nursing Management and Holistic Nursing Practice.
He has been with HCA Healthcare since 1993 and holds nursing degrees from Florida Atlantic University and Colegio de San Agustin, along with nurse executive board certification.
