St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital are proud to honor this quarter’s DAISY Award winner, Debra Smith, ICU neuro/trauma RN, who has been working at St. Mary’s since 2003. Smith was nominated by Kelly Campbell, director of critical care services, who describes her as “motivated, engaged and dedicated.” She says Smith strives to make a personal connection to her patients and their family members and makes it a point to check on them even after they have been discharged from the ICU.
