Cleveland Clinic Florida announces the addition of three physicians to its growing staff of more than 100 medical specialists. They include endocrinologist Vineeth Mohan, M.D., specializing in thyroid disorders, diabetes, parathyroid disorders, and general endocrinology; hospitalist Robert A. Piloto, M.D., with the Department of Internal Medicine; and Jose F. Ramirez, M.D., a pulmonologist specializing in the treatment of sleep disorders, lung cancer, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Dr. Mohan spent the last four years with the Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base, where he served as chief of the Department of Endocrinology. He also was an assistant professor of medicine at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Mohan is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Diabetes Association and the Endocrine Society.
Dr. Piloto graduated with a bachelors degree in microbiology and molecular biology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and his internal medicine internship and residency were completed at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Piloto is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Florida Medical Association.
Dr. Ramirez has some 10 years of experience practicing medicine, beginning with two health care centers in Colombia. He was most recently on staff at Cedars Medical Center in Miami before joining Cleveland Clinic Florida. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases, he is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Disorders and the American College of Chest Physicians.
