Carmen Julia Calfa, M.D., and Aruna Mani, M.D., recently joined the medical staffs of Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines. Both physicians will work along side Drs. Sandra Franco and Alejandra Perez, who are co-directors of the Memorial Breast Cancer Center.

Dr. Calfa, a board certified oncologist, received a medical degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Targu-Mures, Romania, graduating among the top ten in her class. Upon graduation, she joined the University as a clinical Instructor in Epidemiology and Public Health. During this time, she entered residency in Hematology, Immunology and Biochemistry and became nationally board certified in January 2000.

Dr. Mani graduated from University of Akron, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences. She received her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and completed her residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
