VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® of Broward Promotes Donna Borland to Associate GM

Donna Borland, BSN, of Sunrise, has been promoted to associate general manager of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care® of Broward County.

Borland joined VITAS in 1997 as a field nurse, caring for patients at the end of life who lived in nursing homes. She was promoted to team manager in 2002 and to patient care administrator in 2004. She has been named to the company’s national Leadership Council twice.

Borland earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing at Florida Atlantic University in Davie in 2002, graduating summa cum laude. She earned her RN at Broward Community College in 1992.

Before joining VITAS in 1997, she worked for the North Broward Hospital District and Sunrise Health and Rehabilitation Center.
