West Boca Medical Center’s commitment to quality patient care is strengthened with the appointment of William J. Gruitza as both the Hospital Compliance and Privacy Officer. Gruitza has extensive experience in the law field working as an associate attorney focused on the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, HIPAA/HITECH Policy & Procedure Development and HIPPA audit preparation and risk assessments.
Gruitza is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and has served as a volunteer author, contributing summaries on regulatory developments for the Health Reform Educational Taskforce website. Gruitza is also affiliated with the Drexel Health Law Society. Prior to graduating from Drexel University’s Earle Mack School of Law with a Juris Doctorate concentration in health law, he assisted the Office of General Counsel at the University Of Pennsylvania & Penn Medicine.
