Broward Health Chief of Emergency Medicine Recognized for Co-Founding Statewide EMS Education Forum

Dr. Nabil El Sanadi, chief of emergency medicine for Broward Health, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue’s medical director and chairman of the Florida Board of Medicine, was recently recognized for his efforts in advancing emergency medical services (EMS) education in the state of Florida by the Florida Association of EMS Educators (FAEMSE), whose mission is to be the foremost resource within Florida’s EMS educational community.

Dr. El Sanadi was honored for his role as co-founder of FAEMSE. Dr. El Sanadi and paramedic David LaCombe led the creation of FAEMSE. LaCombe approached Dr. El Sanadi with the idea of a statewide training vehicle to enhance EMS education. With that thought, Dr. El Sanadi committed time and resources to jumpstart the group, which now has 175 public and private sector members.
