Delray Medical Center is proud to announce the graduation of six nurses who completed their training to become operating room nurses. With the help of Workforce Alliance and Keiser University, Delray Medical Center selected six qualified, interested nurses for the 15-week program. As the only kind of program in the area, Delray Medical Center is truly revolutionizing how OR nurses are being trained.

With the addition of the new nurses, Delray Medical Center now has a total of 37 OR-specialized nurses on staff. Job openings for OR nurses are not easy to fill due to the extensive amount of expertise one would need to assist surgeons with their procedures. However, Chief Nursing Officer Jennifer Chiusano remains confident. “I am so excited that this program has succeeded and will go on to maintain a steady stream of OR nurses for the hospital” Chiusano said.
