March 24, 2023 – HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, a 447-bed facility, and part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in the state, is pleased to announce the addition of Assistant Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Veronica McCloskey.

Dr. McCloskey is a general cardiologist joined HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in February 2023 as Assistant Chief Medical Officer. Prior to Kendall Hospital, she worked for Cano Health as the chief of cardiology for Healthy Heart, a premier institute for cardiovascular disease prevention. Dr. McCloskey also worked as a clinical cardiologist for MD Associates in Broward County, Florida. Dr. McCloskey was an assistant professor at the Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach until 2019. She was also an assistant professor of medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, focusing on echocardiography and valvular heart disease.

Dr. McCloskey received her bachelor’s of arts in natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University. She then received her MD form the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.
