The Board of Commissioners for the North Broward Hospital District recently elected new officers to serve through October 2010. Board members, appointed to staggered four-year terms by the governor, are Chair Rhonda Calhoun, executive director of the Broward League of Cities; Vice Chair Dan Gordon, certified property casualty underwriter with Bateman, Gordon and Sands; Secretary Miguel Mike Fernandez, managing director for Latin American for SonoSite; Assistant Secretary Joseph M. Cobo, CHBC, partner, Cobo, Weizien, Bowers, & Co., LLC; Treasurer Robert Bernstein, president of MerchantWorthy.com; and Board Member Rebecca L. Stoll.
