Cinthia Rogers had already been a nurse for three years when her own health scare, and the care she subsequently received, profoundly influenced her professional ethos.
“I had an acute brain bleed and spent time in the ICU at both Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital Miramar,” said Rogers. “The ordeal transformed me not just physically, but also spiritually and professionally. It taught me the true power of nursing is not only to heal, but to inspire and promote the family-centered culture critical to delivering the best outcomes.”
In the nine years since, Rogers has held a variety of positions, from working bedside with ER trauma patients at Regional to clinical manager at Miramar’s emergency department to her current role as a nurse manager at Memorial Hospital Pembroke. Each day she strives to embody the spirit that impacted her as a patient and foster an environment that feels like family.
