Committed to the idea of providing a cleaner, healthier environment for patients, visitors, employees and physicians, members of South Miami Hospital’s Tobacco-free Committee recently took part in Kickin’ Butt Day. Committee members and physicians came together for the clean-up effort and collected 13 pounds of discarded cigarette butts throughout the hospital grounds. Currently a tobacco-free facility, South Miami Hospital will transition to a completely tobacco-free campus on May 31.
