Debbie Livermore, an occupational therapist at Parkway Regional Medical Center, recently received specialty certification in hand therapy.

Livermore, who has been an occupational therapist at the hospital since 1996, has diligently been working towards her hand therapy certification for almost nine years. In order to qualify, she had to pass a four-hour examination, document 4,000 hours of direct treatment with hand patients and continue extensive advanced education.

Livermore earned her bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida International University in 1994.
